Umaii candles are made of natural Mediterranean olive wax. Olive wax is a by-product of olive oil production. The other great aspect of olive wax is that it has a higher melting point than paraffin wax; this means your candles can be used outside and will survive in higher heat conditions than other candles. It also means you will get more burn time out of your candles.

The containers are made from recycled metal, so no two colours are the same and the pots are reusable. Wooden wicks ensure you can use the candles indoors and outdoors.

The brand consciously chose not to add scents to their candles to keep them clean and chemical-free.

BURNING A NEW CANDLE FOR THE FIRST TIME.

It is best to let full candles burn for at least 2 hours in a wind-free place. This is to ensure that you get a nice melting process and that the candle burns optimally.

WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO EXTINGUISH MY CANDLE?

Carefully blow out the candle or extinguish it with a candle snuffer. For large candles, we recommend extinguishing the candle with a spoon of candle wax. This makes it easier to light the candle next time.

Details & Care:

Trim the wick occasionally with a candle snuffer or break off a piece of the cold wick so that it is never longer than 1 cm. Our wooden wicks can also be very short, 1 mm is already sufficient for a nice full flame. You can remove any stains with a damp cloth.
